Each presentation is broken into lesson size units. When you click on the button on the opening page you go directly to your chosen unit. The units and specific content for each presentation are:

The Content of the Physical Education Products.
Each presentation is broken into lesson size units. When you click on the button on the opening page you go directly to your chosen unit. The units and specific content for each presentation are:

1. The Skeletal Structure
The units are: The Skeleton, Movement and Joints. These units cover types of bones and joints e.g. synovial, hinge etc in relation to how the body moves giving examples of the sports where these are used.
2. The Muscular System
The units are: The Muscles, Movement, Muscle Types and Working Muscles. These units include the main muscle groups, the types of muscles e.g. involuntary, cardiac and striated, how they produce movement e.g. agonist and antagonist, fast and slow twitch muscles, levers, anaerobic and aerobic, muscle tone and contraction, isotonic and isakinetic.
3. The Cardiovascular System
The units are: The System, The Heart, Circulation, and Heart Health. These units include the functions of the system. the heart including animated cross section diagrams to show blood flow in the heart  and circulation of blood through the body, blood pressure, cardiac output and stroke volume with an example of an international athlete with a non athlete to help understanding.
4. The Respiratory System
The units are: The System, Breathing, Exercise and Energy Systems. These units include an explanation of the system, respiratory performance e.g. tidal volume and vital capacity, how the system is improved through exercise, the aerobic and anaerobic energy systems i.e. explaining how energy is created chemically.
5. Developing Skills
The units are: Skill Types, Learning Skills and Other factors for skill acquisition. These units include explanations of types of skills e.g. open, closed and discrete, how skills are learnt through coaching and brain processes, motivation, emotional and personality factors.
6. Local Park to Olympic Stadium
The units are: Starting Out, Stepping Up, Support and Elite Athlete. These units include the role of individuals, coaches and organisations that help support people to progress including club regional and national associations and how athletes qualify for the Olympic Games. Uses an example of an Olympic Champion throughout.
7. Training to Win
The units are: Why Train? Training Elements, Planning and Types of Training. These units include the basics of training including warm up, mental preparation, specific training and training schedules, different types of training including strength and cardio respiratory.
8. Teams and Venues
The units are: Providers, Finance and Top Level Provision. The units cover the organisations and authorities that provide sports facilities e.g. local authorities, voluntary, private sector, the importance of school sport, funding, and provision for elite sports people.
9. Sport for You
The units are: Taking part, Inclusion and Factors governing participation. The units include general participation in sport including by age, ability disability, and gender, factors that influence choice, different body shapes, motivation, availability of facilities, social background, media and culture.
10. Sport for Health
The units are: Benefits, Building Endurance, Increasing Abilities. The units include the physical and mental benefits of sport, types of fitness with opportunities for students to comment on the fitness of people featured, ways of testing fitness e.g. Harvard step test, Cooper 12 minute run etc other indicators of fitness, e.g. muscular endurance, strength, flexibility, speed etc with examples and questions to answer.
11. Medical Issues
The units are: Drug Cheats, Hazards, Testing, Lifestyle and Diet. The units include performance enhancing drugs, consequences of taking drugs, drug testing, the importance of diet and nutrition including carbohydrate loading.
12. Modern Issues in Sport
The units are: Issues, Nature & Sport, Pressures and The Olympics. The units include professionalism, commercialism, safety, the definition of a sport, new sports, violence in sport, media, technology, sponsorship, political issues and influence. Many of these changes are covered through the example of changing issues of the Olympic Games.
